Crab Rangoon Dip with Wonton Chips

February 27, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

We love Chinese dinner, seriously it’s got to be the absolute best take out that I can think of.  The Crab Rangoon are my favorite!  I know they’re not all that healthy or good for you with all the cream cheese, crab and wontons but they taste amazing.  Am I right?  We decided to make a simpler version with this Crab Rangoon Dip with Homemade Wonton Chips that are pretty darn tasty too.

Even though these are baked chips and not deep fat fried, they still taste pretty good.  My little guy told me they were the best chips he ever had, I’m not sure I’d go that far but they were tasty.

How to Make Crab Rangoon Dip with Wonton Chips

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1 Cup Crab Meat (I just used the imitation meat and diced it up)
  • 3 Green Onions (cut up)
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • Wonton Wrappers

Instructions

Step 1 – Cut the square wonton wrappers into four triangles, cutting across each wrapper twice

Step 2 – Place the triangles on a baking sheet and bake on 400 degrees for 5 minutes, they will get browned when they are crispy and ready to eat

Step 4 – Mix the cream cheese, crab meat, onions and garlic salt together in a bowl, place in a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes or until warmed all the way through.

Step 5 – Use the Wonton Chips to dip in the Crab Rangoon Dip and enjoy!

This was so easy to make because I didn’t have to deep fry the wontons, that made it a bit more healthy too!  I love anything and everything crab so making dips and appetizers like this Crab Rangoon Dip make it hard to not snarf down the entire bowl.  Yum!
