We have a deliciously creamy Chocolate Bar Hot Cocoa to share with you today. Minnesota has had record low temperatures this year and so many days that have been below zero that I’ve lost count. The kids have missed school because of the cold temperatures and they can’t play outside at recess or at home.
It’s crazy cold this winter so we’ve been stocked up on hot chocolate and soup because those seem to be cold weather foods. This Creamy Chocolate Bar Hot Cocoa is a recipe that my Mom makes at Christmas, it’s delicious and it’s literally only two ingredients! You won’t a recipe easier than that!
How to Make Creamy Chocolate Bar Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
4 Hershey’s Chocolate Bars
5 Cups Milk (More or less depending on your taste)
Whip Cream (optional)
Marshmallows (optional)
Chocolate Shavings (optional)
Instructions
Step 1 – Place the Hershey’s Bars and Milk in a slow cooker on low for 4 hours
Step 2 – Stir occasionally
Step 3 – Add the Hot Cocoa to a mug and top with whip cream, marshmallows and chocolate shavings. Enjoy!
This is such a creamy and delicious hot chocolate. If you want to make it even more creamy you can use Heavy whipping cream or Half and Half in place of the Milk. I prefer to use milk in ours but it’s really yummy the other way too.
How has the weather been this winter where you live? Have you been dealing with the incredibly cold temperatures and snow? Try the recipe the next time your kids have been out in the cold playing all day or for yourself to just warm up! You can’t go wrong with chocolate bars and milk!
