Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Have you started thinking about Christmas or even making all those yummy treats that we indulge in during the Holiday season?  I’ve started baking cookies to freeze for all the parties and get togethers that we have coming up this month and in December.

One of the sweet treats that I make myself while I’m baking is Peppermint Hot Chocolate, it’s just one of those drinks that I associate with the holidays and it’s easy to make when I’m busy in the kitchen baking up a storm.

I always remember my Mom making a slow cooker full of hot cocoa during the winter after we had been outside sledding or playing in the snow all afternoon.  We would come in cold and soaking wet from all the fun we had outside and she would have a pot full of that warm yummy chocolate goodness waiting for us.  You could say Hot Chocolate is one of those comfort drinks/food for me.

You can make this an extra yummy drink by adding some Mint Chocolate chips, whip Cream topping, and some chocolate drizzle too.  My kids make their Hot chocolate drinks into more of a dessert by adding so many goodies into the cup!
