Have you ever wondered how to make the PERFECT Deviled Eggs?  We have some great tips for you as well as the Spicy Deviled Egg Recipe to share with you today.

First, I made my hardboiled eggs.  Making the perfect hardboiled eggs can be a little tricky if you don’t know the right steps, for years I made eggs that ended up with that grey /green circle around the yellow center.  That is NOT what you want!  Here are some tips for you that will get your eggs right every time!

Perfect Hard Cooked Eggs, How to make Hardboiled Eggs

If you follow these instructions, you will have perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs with a yellow center and no green or gray tinge!

On to the recipe!

Ingredients You Need

  • 12 Hard-cooked Eggs
  • 2/3 Cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
  • 2 Teaspoons GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, seeded and finely diced

Instructions

To make the Spicy Deviled Eggs, I started with some beautiful pastel colored Easter Eggs.  I simply colored them after I had hardboiled the eggs, using a kit that I picked up at the grocery store.

You will want to peel your eggs next.  By placing the eggs in ice before you peel them makes the shell come off easier without causing any damage to the egg inside.  If you colored your eggs the inside may be tinted the same color slightly.

After you have peeled the eggs, cut them in half (length wise) and scoop out the center.  Place all the egg yolk centers in a bowl and mash them up, add the other ingredients including your MIRACLE WHIP , GREY POUPON Dijon mustard and Jalapenos into the egg yolks and mix well.

Something I like to do is use a food processor to get a smooth consistency for my egg filling.  It ensures that you don’t have chunks of the egg centers left that can make piping the filling into the egg whites a little more difficult.

Unsure what’s the best way to fill your Spicy Deviled Eggs?  Spoon the Egg Yolk mixture into a small resealable plastic bag.  Cut a small corner from the bottom of the bag and use it to pipe the filling into the egg white halves.

Don’t these look delicious? I have to admit that tried these while I was preparing the recipe – Hey, I have to make sure they taste good!  Right?!

I love using MIRACLE WHIP in my deviled eggs because it gives them a little extra kick and flavor that mayo doesn’t.  Give it a try this Easter, I know you will love this recipe!

Deviled Eggs are a popular treat at our family get togethers; especially during Easter. I am sure my brother would LOVE this twist on an old favorite. Our family is funny as my sister makes them and always makes ones with Helmanns and ones with Miracle Whip then puts a flag in 1 on each plate so we know the difference. I wonder if I can talk her into this one! thank you for sharing and such awesome photos!
