Do you ever need a quick and easy "go to" recipe for those last minute get together's with neighbors, sports potlucks, or friends that end up staying a little longer than you planned?

Taco Dip is really simple to make and you don't bake it!  I make mine in a layers and put it on a round plate or serving platter for easy dipping.

Here is the ingredients and directions:

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) container nonfat sour cream
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • ¼ head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 chopped tomatoes
  • {You can also include olives, peppers or red onion}

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning. Spread this mixture in a 9-inch (or a little larger) round serving dish. Top the mixture with lettuce, Cheddar cheese, and tomatoes.

Use tortilla chips for dipping!
