Gingerbread Pound Cake

I love to bake for friends and family as soon as the holidays begin. There is nothing like the smell of ginger, cinnamon, and vanilla filling the air. I also like to swap out ingredients to make my baked goods a little healthier and I recently discovered that Earth Balance Buttery Spread makes a great sneaky swap.

The texture, flavor, and density are the same as my original recipe but are 100% plant-based, gluten-free, non-dairy, and an excellent source of Ala Omega 3. Give this recipe a try on your dessert table this holiday season and see if your family doesn't ask for it time and again.

Allow to cool completely then flip out onto a clean towel, place on serving plate.

To make icing combine almond milk a teaspoon at a time with the powdered sugar until it is a little more liquid than a toothpaste consistency, pour over pound cake.
