Grandma's Homemade English Muffin Bread

Last week I started a new Recipes Like Grandma Used to Make series, where I'm going through old family cook books and bringing back some of the more delicious recipes or those recipes that I remember having when I was a kid that have been lost in the shuffle.

Our first recipe was a Lazy Daisy Cake that was beyond amazing to eat and simple to make!  You need to head over and check it out if you missed it!

I haven't actually tried it. I have a list of "to try" English Muffin Breads as I would like to find one that looks like your picture after being baked. The best ones I have tried rise to the top and, without falling, settle to about 1/4 below the pan top when cooking. Though delicious, they never seem to appeal to my overnight guests. I will definitely try it because of the top on yours.

  2. Chrissy, I don't have a stand mixer. About how long do you think making it without it would take? Do I need to kneed it long? Thanks.

I made this bread last weekend. It is really, really easy and turned out SO wonderful. One of my new go to recipes, for sure. Makes great toast. Thanks for the recipe.

  4. I love this idea! I never thought of making english muffin bread. I haven't had a ton of experience with bread baking but am really looking to up my game - thanks for the great recipe!
