This Keto Big Mac Skillet has all the flavor of a Big Mac without all the carbs! It comes highly kid-approved too.
Have you jumped on the Keto eating trend? My oldest son decided to give it a try earlier this year when he was at his Dad’s and ended up losing almost 20 pounds. He really watched what he ate and tried hard to get me to cook that way to at my house. I fought it for so long, I assumed Keto meant yucky food.
In reality, I’ve created some pretty amazing meals for them that are Keto like this Big Mac Skillet. I’m slowly starting to cook a little better for him and try to make food that he approves of.
Not only is this recipe really delicious but it’s so easy to make too! I often think healthy food has so many more steps involved to make it taste good, but this skillet is super easy!
How to Make Keto Big Mac Skillet
For the Beef
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion chopped and divided
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 Cup Thousand Island Dressing
For the Toppings
- 1 Cup Shredded cheese
- 5 oz iceberg lettuce shredded
- 1/2 Tomato diced
- 1/4 cup dill pickles sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, 3/4 of the chopped onion, salt, and pepper over medium heat until the meat is cooked through and browned. Drain the beef, then return to the skillet and set aside.
- Mix in the Thousand Island until fully incorporated
- Top the meat mixture with cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and the remaining 1/4 onion. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
