Kids Snacks: Peanut Butter Cow Chow

June 30, 2015   |   Leave a Comment

Summertime means being outdoors all day long, whether you’re swimming, biking, hiking, or just laying in the sun.  It’s that time of year when my kids are on the go constantly and only stopping at home to grab a quick snack and they’re off again.

I’m always looking for easy on the go snacks that they can use to fuel their imagination and keep them going all day long.  They love love love anything with peanut butter and chocolate (who doesn’t) so we made a twist on a classic recipe Puppy Chow and used some delicious Horizon Chocolate Snack Grahams in the mix.  These little crackers are in the shape of cows, so the boys called it “Cow Chow”.  Love how creative they can be!

Check out how easy it is to make!  You can even get the kids involved in this one!

Kids Snacks: Peanut Butter Cow Chow!

I like to put the Peanut Butter Cow Chow mix in small baggies so the kids can grab and go during the summer when they’re having a blast playing outside.  It makes snack time so much easier!

My friend Smart School House made an adorable Grab ‘n’ Go S’mores snack with her Horizon Honey Graham Snacks, be sure to check it out!  I LOVE this idea too!
