Lemon Bars Recipe
If you had to guess my favorite dessert, what would you say? I'm guessing that most of my regular readers know that I'm obsessed with lemon. I remember making lemon bars when I was in middle school and high school when I lived at home.
This Lemon Bars Recipe is one of my very favorites! They're so delicious!

How to Make Lemon Bars
Ingredients You Need
- ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 Sticks Butter, softened
- 2 ½ Cups Flour
- 4 Eggs
- 2 Cups Sugar
- ⅓ Cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Zest
- ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
Instructions
Step 1 - Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees and grease a 9x13 baking pan
Step 2 - Cream the powdered sugar and butter together in a stand mixer until it's light and fluffy. Add 2 cups of the flour and bead until mixed.
Step 3 - Press the flour mixture into the bottom of the 9x13 pan and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
Step 4 - Beat the eggs, sugar, lemon juice and zest in a large bowl. Add the remaining ½ cup of flour and baking powder into the mixture and mix well.
Step 5 - Pour over the crust and return to the oven to bake for an additional 20 minutes.
Step 6 - Cool and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

Just look at that creamy lemon filling, these are amazing. I honestly thought that my family would think they were too tart and not really care for them. I was wrong, completely! They inhaled these just as fast as I did!
If you're looking for a great Mother's Day dessert idea, this is the perfect springy dessert! Make it for Mom, she's going to love it!

These look amazing! I am a fairly new fan to lemon desserts, but I love them best when they are a little on the tart side. I really had no idea lemon bars could be so easy. Pinned!
