It’s summer, sunny, and certainly hot here in Minnesota. I think the temps are in the upper 90’s this week. Yikes! This is quite a difference from the normal winter and cold that we’re used to. When the weather gets hot like this, we start looking for cool treats like ice cream, gelato and sorbet.
When you’re a food blogger like I am, you start thinking outside the box with recipes. Combining some of your favorite flavors to create new and exciting creations is so much fun and tasty, too! If you’ve been here long, you know that Mirassou’s Moscato is my favorite wine.
The other day when I was trying to stay cool, I thought a delicious Orange Moscato Sorbet would be amazing. The recipe turned out fabulous AND the best part is that you do not need to own an ice cream making machine to make this. Seriously! It’s the perfect adult dessert option for your summer BBQ. Plus, it won’t keep you tied up in the kitchen, so you can have more time sipping great wine and mingling with your guests under the sun.
That sounds delicious and refreshing during these hot summer months.
Oh that sounds amazing! Even more so on a nice hot summer’s day!
Thanks! I agree, it was delicious on the hot day I made it!
Orange is my favorite flavor! I’d love to give this a shot. It looks so fresh and delish!
Thanks, Jenni! I hope you love it as much as I did!
Looks so refreshing! I love citrus so this is right up my alley.
Me too, Maria!
I’ve never made sorbet before. I’d love to try!
It was super easy, Ellen! I hope it turns out for you!
