Who’s still working to keep their New Year’s resolution and eat healthy? Who thinks it would be so much easier to keep the resolution if they had delicious recipes? (Raises Hand) I’m over a month into giving up soda, again. But, this time I’m totally sticking to it!
Here’s why I’m calling them a “healthier” treat, they have oatmeal, honey and a little Truvia to sweeten and sunbutter that’s topped with a rich dark chocolate or if you’re like me you can’t go totally the healthy route and use milk chocolate. There’s not much that’s not good in these amazing little bites.
This is such an easy recipe and that’s what we like to focus on at The Taylor House! Check it out below, I’m not kidding when I say there is really only six ingredients in these Salted Sunbutter Truffles!
How to Make Salted Sunbutter Truffles
Ingredients You Need
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1/2 Cup Sunbutter
- 3 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Truvia Brown Sugar Blend
- Chocolate for drizzling
- Kosher Salt for on top
Start out by mixing together the Oats, Sunbutter, Truvia and Honey in a medium bowl until all the ingredients are well combined. Then use a small cookie scoop to form the truffles and place them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Next melt the dark (or in my case milk) chocolate and drizzle ever so slightly over the top of the truffles.
Next top with just a pinch of Kosher Salt and enjoy! The salt really gives these truffles another layer of flavor that I love!
I made these for an after school treat for my boys and they loved them! We’ll be making these regularly from now on!
These Sunbutter Truffles are so simple to make, I’ve whipped up a batch when I needed a quick snack or even a dessert option when I have guests over!
