Simple Cajun Alfredo Recipe

We all have our list of comfort foods and this Simple Cajun Alfredo recipe is on the top of mine!  This Italian dish takes me back to my time in Italy and enjoying the Tuscan cuisine.  The sauce has just a bit of a kick that tastes oh-so-good! I often like to add some grilled chicken to this recipe to add a bit of protein to our meals.

Simple Cajun Alfredo Recipe

Make a week-night meal special with this quick and easy recipe! It's sure to be a family favorite! The Louisiana Cajun Seasoning tastes great on just about anything.  Sprinkle it on like you would salt or pepper and get a perfectly seasoned dish every time!

Top this dish off with a sprinkle of parmesan, diced tomato, parsley and a dash of cajun seasoning for a dish that is sure to impress!

How to Make Cajun Alfredo

Ingredients

2 cups cooked fettuccini noodles
1.5 cups heavy cream (you can also use light cream)
2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon minced garlic
⅓ cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 Roma tomato
1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
Pepper to taste
Parsley for garnish

1. Cook noodles to al dente as directed on package.
2. While noodles are cooking, heat garlic and butter in a large saute pan over medium heat, stirring thoroughly, until melted and fragrant.
3. Add in cream, whisking frequently, and cook until the sauce starts to thicken - this will take about 5 minutes. (*If your sauce boils, turn down to a medium-low temperature)
4. Stir in Cajun seasoning and parmesan cheese until melted.
5. Drain your cooked noodles, and add them to your sauce skillet. Stir until covered evenly, and then place noodles into serving bowls.
6. Top each serving with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, ¼ cup diced Roma tomato, parsley, and a pinch of cajun seasoning.

Makes 2 servings. You can also add grilled chicken strips for a variation
