Simple Campfire Brownies full of Candy

September 11, 2017   |   Leave a Comment

Keep your camper fresh and clean with this simple trick! Plus, try making our FAVORITE Campfire Brownies loaded with candy! They’re everyone’s favorite camping treat!

Simple Campfire Brownies full of Candy

I’ve talked a lot about our favorite summer pastime and how we love to relax on the weekends by going camping. We have a travel trailer that has one bedroom and bathroom for the four of us. That means my husband, myself and my two big boys all stay together in this small space almost every weekend of the summer!

Guess what, I LOVE it and I wouldn’t change a thing. I consider myself a pretty clean and organized person, being in our camper as much as we do, we have to stay on top of things or it quickly becomes a place we can’t move around, is dirty and smells awful. Especially on our week long fishing trips, the odors can really sneak in!

Febreze small Spaces

I’m sharing Febreze in my life as part of a sponsored series for Socialstars™”

One of my biggest tips for camping and keeping our camper looking and smelling good is using Febreze Small Spaces.

Febreze Small Spaces

Sometimes the smallest of spaces can pack the smelliest of smells. But luckily Febreze Small Spaces packs an even bigger punch when it comes to eliminating those smells. Stick this little guy by the shoe rack, the laundry basket, or the cat’s litter box and micro manage that freshness!

For me, I have one in our little bathroom in the camper, next to the sink and right inside the door near our shoe rack. You would not believe how much these little guys keep our camper/home away from home smelling amazing. It makes it a place we want to hang out in instead of just a place to sleep at night.

Don’t forget when you’re camping to plan on making all the delicious campfire food and dessert recipes like these Campfire Brownies that are loaded with candy pieces. The kids love these and so do the adults when you had a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream and turn them into a brownie sundae!

How to Make Campfire Brownies with Candy

Ingredients You Need

Start with packing all the ingredients you need or you can use our Fudge Homemade Brownies

  • 1 Box of Brownie Mix with ingredients to prepare
  • Candy – all your favorites! We use M&M’s and Twix
  • Foil
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • Cast Iron Dutch Oven

You will want to start by getting your fire going and having coals that are red and ready to go!

Mix together the brownie mix with all the ingredients the box calls for.

Line your dutch oven with the foil AND spray with the non-stick cooking spray.

Pour the brownie mixture into the dutch oven.

Top with any of the candy you want to have in your brownies!

Place the lid on top of the dutch oven and put into the fire. Place a few of the hot coals on the lid. This will take about 20 minutes to cook but you may want to pull it out and check it to make sure it doesn’t burn.

Note: The cook time varies depending on the head of your coals.

Serve this delicious dessert topped with vanilla ice cream and you’ll have the perfect campfire brownies treat!
