St. Patrick’s Day Food: Rainbow Sangria

February 17, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

St. Patrick’s Day wouldn’t be quite the same with out rainbows and alcohol. Right? So, I thought I would combine the two together and make a St. Patrick’s day Rainbow Sangria with my favorite wine and colorful fruit.

St. Patrick's Day Food, Rainbow Drink, St. Patty's Drinks

Rainbow Sangria sounded like a great St. Patrick’s Day drink but it would also be delicious and refreshing during the summer months too.  You could also make this without alcohol and use Sprite or 7-up as a kids version of the drink.  Rainbow Sangria would go well at a tie dye birthday party or even a baby shower, how fun would that be?

St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and I don’t drink beer so making a festive drink like this will make the holiday fun!

St. Patrick's Day Food, Rainbow Drink, St. Patty's Drinks

Rainbow Sangria Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle of Mirassou Moscato wine
  • 1 Bottle of Seltzer water
  • 1 Cup of Red Grapes
  • 1 Cup of Green Grapes
  • 1 Cup of Pineapple
  • 1 Cup of Mandarin Oranges
  • 1 Cup of Strawberries or Raspberries

St. Patrick's Day Food, Rainbow Drink, St. Patty's Drinks

Instructions

Step 1 – Layer the fruit in a pitcher or individual glasses to create a rainbow look.

Step 2 – Fill half of the glass or pitcher up with Mirassou Moscato

Step 3 – Fill up the rest of the glass or pitcher with the Seltzer Water

You can adjust this to your tastes, using all Moscato would work well too or if you don’t have seltzer water you can use Sprite or a similar soda in place.  This would give it different flavor though, you would taste less of the wine and fruit.
