Strawberry Italian Soda

Who loves Italian Soda?  We have an amazing Strawberry Italian Soda recipe to share with you today and it's so stinkin easy to make too!  It's only four ingredients and one of those is ice!  You can't make a recipe that's much easier or more tasty! Check it out!

Fresh and Delicious Homemade Strawberry Italian Soda

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Truvia
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup Strawberries, sliced 3 ounces
  • Club Soda Ice
 Directions
  1.  In a sauce pot over medium-high heat add water, Truvia and strawberries.
  2. Bring to a boil, mash strawberries to release juice. Remove from heat and cover.
  3.  Let mixture steep for 15-minutes.
  4. Chill strawberry syrup in the refrigerator until cool, about 20 minutes.
  5. Add 3 ounces of strawberry simple syrup and 3 ounces of club soda in a glass.
  6. Stir and add ice cubes or crushed ice.
  7. Garnish with a slice of strawberry.
Serve.

 We used Truvia in this recipe to cut back on the calories from sugar without cutting out any of that sweet delicious flavor!  I love using Truvia in a lot of my drinks - coffee, tea, lemonade.  I don't have to give up the sweet flavor that I love because I want to give up calories!

You could make this as an adult Italian Soda by adding in a little flavored Vodka to the drink.  Yum!! Ok, let's be honest - it sounds amazing and probably the way that I will always make it from now on!
