Summer Grilling: BLT Brats

August 4, 2015   |   5 Comments

I participated in the National Pork Board program as a member of One2One Network. I received compensation but all opinions are my own.

Attention!  For all you brat lovers out there – did you know there’s an actually day designated to brats?  Bratsgiving is August 16th this year which means we must eat all brats all day long! Hooray!!

In honor of this special day, I’ve created an amazingly delicious BLT Brats recipe to share with you.  This recipe is combining a couple of my favorite foods (Brats and Bacon)  into one fabulous meal! Check out how easy they are to make and be sure to serve these at your next BBQ!

Johnsonville has a full assortment of fresh grilling links at Walmart and is the #1 brand of brats nationally, a favorite at all barbecues! Perfect for any occasion and a favorite at picnics and barbecues.

  • Lettuce
  • Onion
  • Mayo (I made a Lemon & Dill Mayo)
  • Buns

Instructions

Step 1 – Grill your brats according to the package instructions

Step 2 – Cook your bacon and crumble into pieces

Step 3 – Put your BLT Brat together starting with the brat in the bun, next the lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon with some mayo drizzled over the entire thing.  Enjoy!

We also made brat patties and these were amazing as well!

I have so many pork recipes that I make over and over. Grilled mustard marinated tenderloins, slow cooker carnitas and just plain grilled chops.
