Sweet Salty Lentil Chip Treats

July 27, 2016   |   18 Comments

I participated in #MomBlogTourFF Mom Blog Tour at the Summer Fancy Food Show on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers and received Saffron Road products to facilitate my review.

Last month I had the privileged of attending the New York Fancy Food Show where I met with several awesome brands including Saffron Road.  To be honest, it was my first time sampling any of their products and I have to tell you how surprised I was with the delicious flavors.

After I received several bags of Lentil Chips in the mail to try with my family, I decided to make a fun Sweet Salty Lentil Chip Treats recipe for the kids.  They LOVED them! Check out how easy the recipe is below!

Sweet Salty Lentil Chip Treats

How to Make Sweet and Salty Lentil Chip Treats

Ingredients You Need

  • 4 Cups Saffron Road Sea Salt Lentil Chips, crushed
  • 2 Cups Pretzels, crushed
  • 1 (16 oz) Bag Marshmallows
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • Handful of M&M’s

Instructions

Start by placing your marshmallows, butter and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and melt them for 90 seconds.  Remove and stir until they are mixed well.  Next, stir in the crushed Lentil chips and Pretzels until they are coated evenly with the marshmallow mixture.  Spread the mixture into a 9×9 greased pan.  Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the chip mixture and last sprinkle the M&M’s over the top.  Enjoy!

Sweet Salty Lentil Chip Treats

Saffron Road offers Baked Lentil Chips in several different flavors, such as Sea Salt, Cucumber Dill, Garlic Parmesan, Rosemary, Cracked Pepper, and Moroccan Barbecue. The Saffron Road Lentil Crackers are available in Sea Salt or Rosemary Herb, and the Saffron Road BeanStalks are offered in Cheddar, Sea Salt, and Barbecue. My boys LOVE the BeanStalks – they’re not just delicious but fun to eat too!

Sweet Salty Lentil Chip Treats

Saffron Road snacks are the perfect after school snack for kids because they’re plant-based which means they’re a great source of protein! They’re a more nutritious snack compared to regular chips plus they’re gluten-free and Non-GMO.
