The new year is here and we are on a healthy eating kick. I’ve been having easy and healthier breakfasts like hard boiled eggs and English muffins as well as trying to come up with healthier versions of recipes we love along with new recipe creations like this Butter and Brown Sugar Baked Salmon.
Not only was this delicious but it was a lower calorie option because I used Truvía®Brown Sugar Blend in it. I love that I still can have amazing flavor but cut out calories by using some amazing products! Check out the recipe!
How to Make Butter and Brown Sugar Baked Salmon
Ingredients You Need
- 4 Salmon Fillets

- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
Step 1 – Place the Salmon Fillets in a glass baking dish
Step 2 – Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave for 30 seconds
Step 3 – Mix the Butter, Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend, Soy Sauce and Lemon Juice together in a bowl
Step 4 – Pour the Butter mixture over the Salmon Fillets and refrigerate for an hour
Step 5 – After the Salmon has marinated for an hour place it on a cookie sheet that’s lined with tin foil and sprayed with a non stick spray
Step 6 – Bake the Salmon for 20 minutes.
What I love about using Truvía® Brown Sugar Blend is that 1/2 a cup is the same sweetness as a cup of brown sugar but with 75% fewer calories! My food still tastes amazing because I’m not sacrificing any ingredients!
