Cinnamon & Sugar Sweet Potato Fries

November 25, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

Cinnamon & Sugar Sweet Potato Fries are a new favorite at our house.  They’re just the right amount of sweet that’s a perfect after school treat my boys loved. I think these would be a fun side dish for Thanksgiving too, instead of the traditional Sweet Potato Casserole, this version of Sweet Potatoes is a little more healthy (little).

There’s still a little bit of sugar and butter in this recipe but compared to my casserole this is leaps and bounds better for you!  Plus, they are so easy to make, even my little guy decided to help after I cut up the sweet potatoes!  Check out how easy they are to make!

  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Step 2 – Cut the Sweet Potatoes into French Fry Sized Pieces

Step 3 – Place the Sweet Potatoes in a Ziploc bag

Step 4 – Place the sugar, butter and cinnamon into the bag with the sweet potatoes

Step 5 – Share the bag until the fries are well covered

Step 6 – Spread the fries out on a cookie sheet covered in foil (I used my Silpat)

Step 7 – Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until the fries are crispy.  Enjoy!

These are so delicious on their own you don’t need any dipping sauce for them!  I think these will make a great Thanksgiving Side Dish recipe this year!
