Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars

March 7, 2018   |   Leave a Comment

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars are the perfect treat to make today for National Cereal Day! That’s right, there’s a day to celebrate all those delicious boxes of breakfast! I can think of a hundred different ways to use my favorite cereal in recipes too! Like our Apple Crisp with the Cinnamon Toast topping – this is one of my favorites!!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars

My absolute favorite cereal of all time is Cinnamon Toast Crunch from General Mills, I always get excited when I receive a box in the mail and know I get to start creating a delicious recipe with my favorite cereal. I mean, there’s just something about this cinnamony delicious goodness that makes me happy!

Knowing that National Cereal Day was right around the corner, I decided to make some simple Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars to celebrate. There were absolutely no complaints from my boys when they came home and found a pan of the ooey gooey bars waiting for them after school!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars

If you’ve been following the blog you know that my oldest son is a brownie obsessed teenager who is known to finish off an entire 9 x 13 pan on his own in one day. To be honest the kid could stand to gain a little weight, after a season of swim team he has turned into a skinny (for reals he’s in really good shape) boy/man.

So, I don’t really complain much when he eats 12 sandwiches, a pizza and a pan of brownies. These treats were no exception, they were gone in no time at all.

I’ll admit to saving a few back for myself though, I couldn’t let them all be devoured by the kids since it was MY favorite cereal!!  Check out the recipe below, it’s literally only three ingredients and you have a delicious treat waiting for you!

These are great to take to potlucks or make for parties too! Everyone loves them and they are always the first to go!

How to Make Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars

Ingredients You Need

1 (12 oz) box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch

1 bag of marshmallows

5 TBSP Butter

Instructions

Start by melting the butter and marshmallows together in a microwave-safe bowl, it took me about a minute and a half to melt completely. Next, add the cereal until it’s well combined and every piece of cereal has the marshmallow mixture on it. Spread the mixture into a greased 8×8 baking pan and let set up for an about an hour before eating (this step is optional and you can eat them right away if you enjoy gooey bars).
