Cookies and Cream Popcorn Recipe

September 12, 2013   |   6 Comments

It’s no secret that we love Oreo’s here at The Taylor House!  I have made so many versions of an Oreo Cupcake recipe for my boys that I decided to branch out and look for other recipe ideas that use their favorite cookie.

Today we have a simple and delicious Cookies and Cream Popcorn recipe that uses just a couple easy ingredients and takes minutes to make.  This is the perfect little treat to whip up before the kids get home from school or to make for family game night.

If you like a sweet and salty treat all in one, this is the best treat for you!  I am not a huge popcorn fan, but adding in a little bit of yummy sweet makes it so much better for me!

How to Make Cookies and Cream Popcorn

Ingredients

1 Bag of Popcorn ( I used plain, but Kettle corn would be good too)

10 Crushed Oreo’s

1 Package of Vanilla CandiQuik

Oreo Cupcake Recipe

Instructions

Step 1 – Pop your bag of popcorn being careful not to burn it.

Step 2 – Melt your Vanilla CandiQuik according to package instructions.

Step 3 – Mix the popcorn and CandiQuik together, coating as much of the popcorn as possible.

Step 4 – Stir in the Oreo pieces.

That’s it!  Enjoy your delicious Cookies and Cream Popcorn treat!  There are so many other ways that you could use popcorn, CandiQuik and other mix in ideas to make other popcorn treat mixes.  With Halloween right around the corner this would be delicious if you add in Candy Corn and would love festive too.

My boys love the Oreo Cupcake Recipe that I made last year and are always asking for snacks and desserts with Oreo’s in them, so this fit the bill and was simple to make.  Love it!

This looks amazing. Popcorn is great on its own, but add in cookies and cream flavor and all bets for willpower are off!
