Hello and Happy Holidays, Taylor House readers! A million thanks to Chrissy for having me back again today to share another of my favorite recipes.
My name is Krysta and I blog over at KrystaSteen.com! Hope you will stop by and say hi!
Today, I am sharing one of my favorite holiday side dishes – Corn Pudding!. This was a staple as I was growing up at Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, and I would never eat it because I thought I wouldn’t like it. I finally tried it when I was in my 20’s and LOVED it!
This stuff is so good ya’ll!!
Here is what you will need:
1 cup milk
16 saltines, broken up into small pieces
2 eggs, separated
1 can cream style corn
1 TBSP sugar
pinch of salt
1 TBSP butter for buttering dish
3 TBSP for dotting top of mixture
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter oven safe dish.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
In another bowl, combine all remaining ingredients, including egg yolks.
Fold in egg whites.
Pour carefully into buttered dish. Dot top of mixture with butter.
Bake for 1 hour.
Serves 6-8
Hope you enjoy!
