Delicious Homemade Honey Butter Recipe

November 8, 2013   |   Leave a Comment

I’m all about butter and more butter, slather things in butter and making creams with butter.  How can you go wrong with that deliciously creamy spread on your bread, buns, or in anything really?

I was talking to a friend just today and we were in agreement that we would take a piece of homemade bread with real butter over cake any day.  Yep, you heard me right!  I have a serious love of anything with butter.

So, it’s no secret that I love flavored butters too.  Honey Butter being one of my absolute favorites, because it’s the perfect for bread, pancakes, or buns.  Plus, it’s simple to make!  There is literally two ingredients.  Yep, you guessed it, honey and butter.  You can’t find a much more easy recipe than that!

Homemade Honey Butter

How to make Honey Butter

Ingredients

1 Stick of Butter

1/2 cup of Honey

1 tsp. Cinnamon (this is optional)

Instructions

Whip together all ingredients in a small bowl.  Be sure to cover and refrigerate after making.  When you are ready to use the butter, let it sit our for about 30 minutes to soften before you try to use it.

That’s it!  Such an easy recipe to make and even easier to eat!  Yum!

Homemade Honey Butter

I like to make my Homemade White Bread and use Honey butter on it while it’s still warm and fresh from the oven.  That is the perfect snack or addition to a meal, if you ask me!

What other flavors of butter have you made?  We have a couple more recipes to share with you in the next couple weeks, they will make perfect additions to your Thanksgiving meal planning too!

When I add flavored butters to our meal, I always have people asking for the recipe and thinking that it’s much harder to make than it really is.  It’s an impressive little goody to add to the table.
