Simple Lemon Brownies With Lemon Glaze
Lemon Brownies are my absolute favorite bar or dessert to make. They're light and airy with that fresh lemon flavor that everyone loves! Add some lemon glaze on top and you won't be able to make just one pan of these! They'll be gone in no time at all!

It's no secret that my favorite desserts are anything and everything lemon! These lemon brownies are my absolute favorite but I'll take anything from lemon cream puffs to Lemon cheesecake pie! I'm not picky when it comes to lemon desserts!

These are so moist and delicious! If you like lemon, I promise you will love this dessert!

How to Make Lemon Brownies
Ingredients You Need
- ¾ C All Purpose Flour
- ¾ C sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 stick butter, soft
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon of Lemon juice
- zest of ½ lemon (about 1t)
Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
Mix in the softened butter.
In another bowl whisk the eggs with the lemon juice and zest.
Add to the larger bowl and mix well.
Pour into a prepared 8X8 brownie pan.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
You can double the recipe and bake in a
9X13 pan for 30 minutes.
Remove and let cool, then glaze.
How to make the Lemon Glaze
- ½C powdered sugar
- 1 T lemon juice
- additional lemon zest
Stir together!
Notes About Lemon Brownies
Yes, these are kind of just lemon bars but I love calling them Lemon brownies!
Just a quick note, I use parchment paper on the bottom. They come out so easily so that you are able to cut them on a flat cutting board.
This recipe does NOT use baking powder or baking soda, I've made them dozens of times and have never had any issues with them being flat - the photos I have shared are the way they come out of the pan every single time.
