Moms Classic Rhubarb Crisp

May 11, 2017   |   Leave a Comment

Mother’s Day is only a couple days away so we wanted to share this delicious recipe that’s actually my Mom’s Classic Rhubarb Crisp that’s a perfect dessert to make!

Moms Classic Rhubarb Crisp

I was thrilled to partner with Fair Trade on this recipe and use a couple of their amazing products in the recipe! I love the way they support women around the world so partnering on a Mother’s Day recipe only seemed fit!

How to Make Rhubarb Crisp

Ingredients You Need

Rhubarb Layer:
4 cups of rhubarb cut into 1/2″ pieces
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp Frontier Cinnamon

Topping:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup flour
1 cup Wholesome! Fair Trade Organic Cane Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Frontier Cinnamon

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together the rhubarb, sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium bowl before placing in an 8×8 glass baking dish.
Mix together the butter, oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in a bowl (I use the same bowl so that I don’t dirty the second one). Sprinkle topping over rhubarb mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes – 35 minutes, or until topping starts to brown.

Organic cane sugar can be used as a one-for-one replacement for refined white sugar so that you can empower cane sugar farmers every time you bake! Wholesome! Organic Chocolate Frosting’s delicious flavor and ready-to-use convenience make it a pantry staple for all your last-minute baking needs! It’s smooth, the spreadable texture is perfect for topping cakes, decorating cupcakes and adding a sweet finish to your favorite cookies.

Moms Classic Rhubarb Crisp

This Fair Trade Certified, organic Ceylon cinnamon, also known as “true cinnamon,” has a subtly more delicate and sweet flavor than the more common cassia cinnamon. Use to flavor cookies, cakes, stewed fruits, puddings, and bread as well as curries, sauces, and vegetable dishes – the possibilities are endless!
