PIcnic Recipe: Chicken Salad

June 20, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

The perfect picnic recipe for the summer is this easy chicken salad.  I love a good chicken salad sandwich but don’t seem to make it as often as other recipes.  Earlier this month I thought I’d try making a new version that was loaded with green onions and celery and I loved it.  Remember, as with all recipes that we share here at The Taylor House, you can easily change them up and customize them to your liking with adding and removing ingredients.  Check out our recipe on the next page.

How to make the Perfect Picnic Chicken Salad

Ingredients You Need

  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Cup of Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 cup Diced Green Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Diced Celery
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

Step 1 – Bake your chicken breasts in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until they are fully cooked

Step 2 – Shred your chicken, an easy way to do this is by placing it in your stand mixer and letting it go for a couple minutes

Step 3 – Mix all of the additional ingredients in with the chicken

Step 4 – Place a large scoop on a croissant or bun of your choice and enjoy!  If you like your chicken salad to have a little more sauce to it, add another 1/2 cup of Miracle Whip.
