Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich
What’s not to love about a Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich that’s loaded with fresh vegetables? I was surprised at how dead simple it was to make and how much I loved this easy recipe!
A Po Boy sandwich is really another name for a submarine sandwich, it’s a long sub looking loaf of bread that’s loaded with just about anything. Although, most Po Boys seem to have seafood or roast beef in them (the ones I’ve seen).
I’m not a big spicy person so with this recipe I didn’t use a Cajun sauce so you can change that to fit your tastes.
How to make a Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 French Bread (about a foot long sub size)
- 1 pound medium shrimp, shelled, deveined and with tails removed
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Cajun Seasoning (more if desired)
- Lettuce
- Sliced Tomatoes
- Ranch dressing
Instructions
Step 1 – Melt the butter in a fry pan
Step 2 – Add the shrimp, garlic salt and Cajun seasoning to the pan and fry the shrimp
Step 3 – Next start to assemble your sandwich with the tomatoes and lettuce on the cut French bread
Step 4 – Add the Shrimp on top and drizzle with a small amount of Ranch dressing
You could replace the ranch dressing with a remoulade sauce if you want something a little more spicy on your Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich.
This recipes makes four large sandwiches and I easily ate one all on my own. Yes, it was that good!
If you like shrimp, this sandwich is going to rock your world or at least it did mine. I loved the taste of the butter fried shrimp with the fresh lettuce and tomatoes on an amazing bread. Yum! I could eat this every day for lunch!
