Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

April 19, 2017   |   1 Comment

We love Chicken Cordon Bleu and what’s even better is this simple slow cooker recipe version! I can start it in the morning and have dinner ready to go in the evening!

This is one of my favorites, I’m always grabbing those individually frozen chicken cordon bleu from the freezer section at the store, you know what I’m talking about? They’re easy to pop in the oven but this version is even better! It’s packed with flavor and you can make it in the slow cooker!  Win, Win!!

This is a great dish to make for company or parties too, it’s always a big hit! I like to make it in the summer too because I don’t have to heat up the kitchen on those hot days.

How to Make Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients You Need

  • 5 Chicken Breasts
  • 5 Slices of Deli Ham
  • 5 Slices Swiss Cheese
  • 1 Can Cream of Chicken
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Cups Dry Stuffing Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, melted

Instructions for Making

Mix together the cream of chicken soup and milk in a small bowl.

Pour half of the soup mixture into a slow cooker to cover the bottom.

Layer chicken breasts over the sauce.

Cover with slices of ham and then Swiss cheese, one of each on each piece of chicken.

Pour the rest of the soup over the layers.

Sprinkle the stuffing on top and drizzle butter over stuffing.

Cover, and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 2-3 hours.

I like to serve this with a side of Corn Mac and Cheese or some fresh green beans!

Are the chicken brests cooked or thawed or frozen when you put it in the crockpot?
