I love Pumpkin Pie, who doesn’t? Well, my hubby doesn’t, but besides him? Pumpkin Pie is one of the flavors of fall that we all think of and look forward to around Thanksgiving. It’s my go to dessert if I have a choice and my very favorite pie. So, doesn’t a Pumpkin Hot Cocoa sound amazing?
I have seen so many different flavors of Hot Chocolate lately, everything from caramel to raspberry flavors. I decided to create my own by combining two of my favorite flavors, Pumpkin Pie and White Chocolate into one delicious Hot Cocoa recipe.
This was literally like drinking Pumpkin Pie, maybe that sounds weird, but it was delicious! You will want to add this easy recipe to your list of things to make this fall and Holiday season.
It would make a perfect Halloween night Hot cocoa to have after you are out in the cold trick or treating or on Thanksgiving when you’re looking for a new drink idea to serve guests.
How to make Pumpkin Hot Cocoa
Ingredients
3 Cups of Half and Half (or milk)
1 Cup of Pumpkin Puree
2 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Seasoning (Our Homemade Pumpkin Pie Seasoning)
1 tsp. Vanilla
6 Oz. White Chocolate
Instructions
Step 1 – Chop up your white chocolate, so that it will melt quicker when you add it to the mixture.
Step 2 – Whisk the Half and Half, Pumpkin Puree, Vanilla and seasoning together in a sauce pan over low to medium head until it boils just slightly.
Step 3 – Add your white chocolate into the mixture and whisk until it is completely melted.
Step 4 – Pour the mixture into mugs and top with Whip Cream and a sprinkle of the pumpkin pie seasoning. Enjoy!
This is an easy recipe to make and even easier to drink. It had a creamy rich flavor that I loved, there was a little bit of a texture from the pumpkin puree in the drink but I didn’t really mind or notice it very much.
I hope you give it a try!
We have an awesome new series coming up this Sunday! Be sure to stop by and check it out! Here’s a little video about it!
You totally just blew my mind. Pumpkin Pie Hot Cocoa? Yes, please! That sounds way yummier than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I may have to serve that at (or around) Thanksgiving this year.
