Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

June 20, 2017   |   1 Comment

What could be a more delicious dessert than these Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes? They’re cupcakes IN an ice cream cone that are topped with a delicious vanilla frosting, sprinkles, and a cherry! They are a great dessert, treat or even make them for a birthday party! Yum!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

These are so easy to make that we’re featuring them on Kids in the Kitchen where Blake and his buddy will be making them on their own!

We used a Funfetti cake mix and vanilla frosting for this recipe but you can use any flavor combination that you want – chocolate cake with a chocolate frosting is my oldest guys favorite combination. I mean, you can never have too much chocolate!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Here’s how we made them, and ssshhh don’t tell anyone how easy they are! Let them think you’re an amazing baker who has crazy talent!

How to Make Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Ingredients You Need

  • 24 small ice cream cones (or 12 Jumbo size)
  • 1 Cake Mix (we used Funfetti)
  • 1 can of Vanilla Frosting
  • Sprinkles
  • Cherries

Instructions

Start by making your cake mix according to the box instructions. Place the ice cream cones into a muffin tin – one cone in each spot. Fill the cone about half to 3/4 full of the cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Top the cupcakes with frosting, sprinkles and a cherry on top! Enjoy!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Aren’t these the most adorable little treats? There was really nothing special that needed to be done other than just baking them in the ice cream cones and they came out perfectly!

You could easily make a homemade cake batter to use in these and a homemade vanilla frosting too instead of using the store-bought but they were so easy to make this way!
